Udupi, June 2: The new academic year 2026-27 commenced with great enthusiasm at Manasa on June 1, 2026. Students were welcomed with festive celebrations, and the programme was inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Roshan D’Souza, Parish Priest of Pamboor Parish.
On the occasion, interns Priyanka and Dichem from Azim Premji University were formally welcomed to the institution.
The management also expressed gratitude to the outgoing Warden, Sr. Mary Beck SSpS, for her dedicated service spanning ten years. She was felicitated in recognition of her contribution to the institution. Sr. Tinitha George SSpS, the newly appointed Warden, was introduced and accorded a warm welcome.
Meanwhile, the renovated offices of the Trust and the Accounts Department were blessed and inaugurated on June 2 by Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves, Spiritual Director of Catholic Sabha, Udupi Pradesh. The facilities were jointly inaugurated by Mr. Henrey Menezes, Dr. Edward Lobo, and Dr. Gerald Pinto.
Addressing the gathering, Fr. Ferdinand Gonsalves commended the dedicated efforts of the management and staff in serving underprivileged children through Manasa and appreciated their continued commitment to social service.
On the occasion, gifts sponsored by Dr. Gerald Pinto and Mr. Walter Pinto to mark their 40th wedding anniversary were distributed among the Manasa staff.
