Tailoring
Training Procedure
First the students for the tailoring class are assessed for their capacity to handle scissors, needle and thread, the sewing machine etc. Then they are taught the skills to handle needle, thread and the scissors. They are taught hemming, button stitching, and hook fixing in hand stitching.
Once the students are familiar with handle stitching they are introduced to the sewing machine starting with various parts of the machine and the pedaling technique.
Initially paper is used for stitching, for the students to get better practice.
